Now guys, we have been ranting about exposing apps to direct consumers, right? Well, today you get to see what they look like. They are basically smart widgets that showcase apps in targeted categories, platforms or countries.

So, in other words, these widgets will showcase apps from the very category, country or platform that it was originally created for. Example: An app for finding restaurants in India will be featured only in sites from India, under the “Lifestyle” category, etc.

Visitors to the online properties that show these smart widgets can search for apps that support their particular phone, all within the widget itself. By clicking on their app of interest, they will be taken to the app profile page in MobileApps.com, where they can buy.

App developers can choose which publishers they want to advertise in, based on the responsiveness of the widget. An algorithm tracks behaviour patterns from the visitors of the site by calculating the amount of click-throughs, pagination, impressions, downloads, etc. This will determine the quality of traffic from the site and the site is ranked accordingly.
